Root Email.apk

Does anyone know which version of the android email.apk has the "select all" feature? it is a bit of a ball ache having to select 20+ individual emails to delete. One version of this that I have used, definitely had this feature?
I'm currently using version 2.3.
I've tried K9, but I really don't need all the features...
