Help email app help

On my Desire, I use Gmail for personal and have my seperate email on the native mail app. Is there a way I can manually check my native mail and not have it download automatically? I've looked through the settings but couldn't find anything, and not really sure what setting I'm looking for anyway. Thanks for any help.

If you go into settings you should see an option such as "Inbox check frequency".

Select it and change it to Never.

Now when you go into the app click menu and select 'Refresh' when you want to update your inbox. Voila.
