I have a Droid RAZR running 4.0.4 (Verizon) and a Nexus7 running 4.1.2 (WiFi) and am getting different behavior from the built-in Email apps (the one with the icon of the envelope with a stamp with an "@" inside.)
I have the same POP account set up on both devices. On my RAZR I see all of my emails - there don't seem to be any automatic cleanup-type functions going on, but on the Nexus7 my emails don't seem to hang around very long before I can't see them anymore. I don't see any settings on either one that says anything about limiting the number of emails that are either downloaded or saved. I tried installing K-9 mail and I get the same auto-cleanup stuff happening on both devices.
Any help would be appreciated.
