email app the will allow a group name in the to field

Hi,
Does anyone know an android email app that will integrate fairly well with gmail and allow me to send to a group in my contacts?
I used to be able to do it in the default email app (not gmail) on my Galaxy Note but since a couple of ROM upgrades/flashes the new one doesn't support it.
I really can't beleive that gmail won't let you use one of your google contact groups
Really frustrating, plenty of good apps out there but I can't find one that does this simple thing. Anyone help me?

Hi cliver, I just tried to do this on my phone(HTC Sensation w/ customized rom) and was able to do it. Here is how I did it:

Open my contact list. Select Groups. Selected the group that I wanted to email from the list. I now have an option that says - "Group Action". After selecting Group Action, I'm given the option to "Send group email". When I select this, I'm now in a new email within the gmail app and am able to successfully send an email.

Not sure if this is possible on your phone, however, this was the only way I was able to get this to work because if you just open the gmail app and try typing in the "To" field as you do on the website, you don't get the same options. Hope this helps and thanks for the tip. I didn't even know that this was possible on my phone.

Thanks that works OK. The only problem is I get several emails that I need to forward to a group. This method doesn't work for that
It used to work on the stock email app on my galaxy note but on recent ROMs it doesn't.

An application called "Contacts GroupU", available for free in the Google Play store will sync your Google contact groups and allow you to forward to that group
