I recently rooted and then was trying out a demo of Tasker. I set up a profile to put my phone into airplane mode between 11:30p and 7a. Last night I went to bed with 95% battery life and woke up to 7%. "Email" app was at 63% usage.
So, I uninstalled Tasker this afternoon in hopes that it would fix things. "Email" is still using ~60%. I use my phone for work purposes, so ideally it would automatically check for new emails frequently; I suppose I could disable background data from syncing and this might solve the problem, but then wouldn't I have to manually check for new emails?
