Email client friendly with task apps

Good morning all! Having snared a Project Fi invite, I'm looking closely at the Nexus 5x as a 2d phone. It will be used strictly as a business line. The ONLY reason I've not yet pulled the trigger .... I need an email client allowing 1-2 taps push of an email to my task app.

Example: with my iPhone, I can quickly process emails. Each is either deleted, archived, or pushed to my todo app. In the latter instance, the entirety of the email appears, nicely formatted, in the comments/note section of the task. The email subject line auto appears as the task title, which I can easily change if desired. And, depending on the client, there's a mobile-friendly link in the comment/note, so I can jump back to the original email. Finally, I can set project name, tag etc info on the spot. Thus, it's rarely necessary for me to ever revisit that email again. Because I receive a slew of court notices on any given day, most requiring further action, this workflow is critical.

Via Google, I read several "best android email client" articles, but none referenced anything along these lines. I know I can get this done with any app, going the forward-email route. But I'm not interested in such a scheme, as it will only add to my workload, eg setting aside time to go through the email/tasks to categorize, tag, etc. Would someone kindly take a moment to educate me? I'd be most appreciative. Thank you!
 
Check into AquaMail. It can integrate with Tasker and is customizable and configurable almost beyond belief.
Simple, intuitive UI. Has some unique features like the Smart Folder, which is basically a unified inbox but configurable so that it becomes much more. In your situation, I think the Smart Folder could be a heckuva tool. It has an optional conversation view with many options. Very fast and stable, handles large quantities of email in multiple accounts easily.

Excellent support via built-in help, a comprehensive FAQ and a user forum closely monitored by the developer or by email.

Another thing that could be important since you deal with court documents is that AquaMail is very secure. It passes EmailPrivacyTest.com 100% and has a strong privacy statement clearly stating that nothing is stored on any server, unlike many other clients such as Cloud Magic, Type Mail, My Mail and many others who do download your email and also share your information with who knows who. THIS is what I missed - the super friendly Android community. Thanks so very much for taking the time to respond, and so comprehensively. Now all I have to do is make a definitive choice between the Nexus 5x and 6p. Off to brew a large pot of coffee. This is gonna take awhile. But I've vowed - have the device in hand prior to the holidays. That'll give some down time so I can remind myself which way is up in Droid Land.

Quick giggle, via my face crunch: never stopped missing my beloved Executive Assistant, which now seems to be a past tense item. Oh well. Then I remembered Beautiful Widgets.

It's so secure that the author refuses to add encryption. K9 mail is a terrific piece of software,
 
K-9 is very good. But if it has encryption built-in I'm not aware of it. It does offer some integration with AGP, but AGP hasn't been updated since March 2014 and appears to be abandoned. But so far, I think it's still working. As for PGP, apparently K9-Mail supports only PGP/Inline and not PGP/MIME which seems to be the standard formatting PGP-Emails today. That's the last I heard about it, if it's been resolved I'm not up to speed.

AquaMail and others can be encrypted, though it's a kinda clunky, way, with Openkeyring. I believe APG or PGP can be made to work with many email clients, but don't hold me to that, my knowlege in this area is almost nil.

Built-in encryption for AquaMail is on the to-do list but no timetable for it is set. It does have SSL hardening and OATH2 support. It passes EmailPrivacyTest.com 100%.

For encrypted email the best solution I've heard of might be MySecureMail. It has built-in encryption. I have not tried it myself and really can't offer an educated opinion on it.
