Help Email client & phone numbers

Can someone check the following for me...

I cannot get the mail client to select and dial a phone number that is part of an email message. Same message sent to my gmail account and read with gmail works perfectly. Now, I also have a carp htc, and in that email app I can select the phone number and dial ok. Is this something to do with Apple's patent crud?

I'm having the same issue as well - have been given an Xperia S by my telco for renewing contract having been using iPhones since their release.

Is there anyway to get the S to recgonise phone numbers so that I can click to dial? If not then thats a deal breaker for me and I'm back to my iPhone...

Would seem this is so. I'm using MailDroid now, and the author has the phone number trick on his todo list.
