Help Email count still wrong after deleting data and cache

So this one has me stumped. I've had my email count showing "1" for a week now. I've deleted the caches and data for both my standard email app that came with my phone, and the gmail app (even though I know the problem isn't likely to b e there). I've rebooted the phone. There are no email addresses stored or saved any longer. And I still have the count of "1". Totally stumped. If I knew how to delete the email app and reinstall it I'd try that too, but I don't know how to do that.

Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions?

Go into settings>application manager>all and find an app called "badge provider" and clear its cache and data.

Lol no problem, glad it's sorted out. Have had a bunch of Samsung's and incorrect badge numbers are one of my biggest pet peeves.
