Email from Verizon suggesting Advanced Task Killer App

Didn't get this email but I think it's hilarious it's a Verizon "sanctioned" thing. I took ATK off like 5 days ago and my phone has been phenomenally faster since

let's get this clear auto kill all is bad. the processes you're killing will restart themselves, slow your device and making it very unstable in the process. Task managers are a good thing to use. Home ++ is my favorite. If an app is acting up it you just want something that isn't a system app running it gives you a quick easy to kill it. I thought auto kill was a good thing too. Turns or it's not. Best thing to do is back out of an app, don't just press home. If you hot back until it closes it will stop using resources and go dormant until it's called again.

If you are having a lot of slowdown and force closing it's more than likely sure to a task killer.

ATK is a great program and I recommend people to use it. When you kill apps, just select ATK to kill itself. That way it is not running all the time. I have it kill Neoside because when that app is running my gmail does not work.

I heard task killers can effect how notifications are pushed out to you so i doont use one.

Plus my Droid is at 800mhz right now so its never slow anyways.

I honestly think if a task killer was THAT important, google would have one that comes with it just like messaging, browser, market, and all the other stock apps. They woudnt rely on someone else to make it for them.

I have set up an ignore list for it. Whenever I use an app that needs a lot of
Ram or phone begins to go sluggish I run the task manager and kill it also. I do not let it run constantly in background. This and using the stock home makes my Droid perform at its peak. I hate force closes and sluggish performance. I have tried all the Home replacements and running with the task manager in various ways and running without it. In my experience that is the best option for ME. Try it and post your findings.
