I have a galaxy note 3 and I have 5 email addresses. can i have 5 different email icons instead of just the gmail icon and other email icon

Yes, if you have the appropriate shortcuts available. Long press on your home page, select 'shortcuts' and look for 'Gmail label' and 'Mail inbox' or similar (these are how they appear on my HTC One).
If you tap on 'Gmail label' you can create a label icon for each of your Gmail accounts and the 'Mail inbox' shortcut will create a mail icon for each of your stock mail app accounts. This will give you a separate icon for each of your five accounts on your homepage.
