Help Email Issues

Hey all. I've been finding a lot of conflicting information on the 2 problems I'm experiencing, so I figured I'd ask. Here goes.

1. I have an old email account that I want to delete from my DRM. This particular account is a RocketMail (Yahoo!) account. Whether I go into the stock email account or go through system settings to accounts doesn't matter, I get the same result. When I click on the "Remove account" link, it asks me if I want to remove the account XXXXXX@rocketmail. com from my email. I click on OK and I get an Attention window that pops up and says "Invalid credentials". I've read some other posts both here and on other sites, but haven't really seen a way to deal with this error.

2. This problem involves K-9 Mail. I have two different Gmail accounts. Lets just call them Gmail 1 & 2. Gmail 1 is my primary Gmail account, the one that my phone syncs to. Gmail 2 is a secondary account. Both accounts work through the stock Gmail app, but not so with K-9. I can add Gmail 2 to K-9, but when I try and add the Gmail 1 account, I get a window that pops up and says "Setup could not finish. Username or password incorrect ()". I know I'm entering the right information, but yet it refuses time and time again to let me add the account.

Any help anyone can give with either of these problems would be great. There driving me batty!
 
I had a similar problem where the mail program became confused and I could neither update nor delete credentials (the same error that you mentioned kept popping up). I wish I could be more help but I don't remember exactly what I did to clear the issue (I did not do a factory reset). I'm pretty sure I power cycled or forced close the mail program; more likely I went into apps and did a clear all data associated with the program (I only had 2 email addresses); so re-adding both was not an issue for me. Actually I'm pretty sure that is what I did because I had to re-add both of them and this was just after the gb upgrade to ics.

To repeat (since the above is very confsuing). I went into settings/apps/email and did a clear all data.
