Help Email just stopped working

I've got no clue at all what happened. I've had this phone for over a year and email has always worked fine. A couple days ago my personal email (POP3) just stopped working. GMAIL is working fine. I can't stand GMAIL and I have my own domain for a reason. That's the email that stopped working. I've deleted my account a dozen times. Then I restart the phone. Then I make sure sync is enabled. Then I recreate the account. The server settings are checked and verified. I download between 25 and 50 older messages and then it just stops receiving mail. Either old mail or new mail. The email is working fine on the computer and I CAN get to the webmail from the phone, but that's really a PIA. I've tried every suggestion I could find. Then I disabled the Samsung email program and installed Droidmail. It verifies everything and gives me a message that says "connecting", but nothing happens. So I uninstalled that and installed K-9. It works great. For a couple hours. Then that too stops getting mail. I've reset it up (with phone restarts) THREE times. I'm at my wits end. I would REALLY appreciate any suggestions. I've been at this for days now.

Unless you have some kinda strange thing going on with the Internet connection and your phone (does the problem existing both WiFi and mobile data or just one of them?) I suspect it could be an issue with your email provider. Very unlikely that several email clients suddenly developed problems.

Do you by chance get your domain through Go Daddy? Because for the last couple of days we've had big trouble getting email on all of our mobile devices, but it works fine using Thunderbird on the computers. Gmail is fine. And we use AquaMail on all mobile units, which is very, very reliable. We have IMAP service instead of POP3 like you, but the domain is from - Go Daddy.

I've fooled around a lot the last couple of days trying to figure this out. At this point I'm convinced it's a Go Daddy thing.

Thanks. Yeah, it's on both WiFi and data. I don't have my domain through Go Daddy though - it's Network Solutions. I wonder if it could be Verizon. I agree, the chances of several email programs developing similar bugs simultaneously is terribly small. I was actually wondering this morning if it might be my email provider, but the chances of even two developing similar bugs at the same time is pretty small too.

Aquamail, huh? Well, I AM a scuba diver....
