Email Keeps skipping Inbox

for the past four days I have not been receiving mail notification on my phon eand I knew something was wrong because I always usually get them every day. I checked my phone settings and everything seemed to be alright but then I noticed that all my emails from the past four days have been going to "all mail" instead of "inbox." Even the mail to activate this account didn't show up in my inbox. What can I do to fix this problem?
email notifications is checked and so is everything that needs to be so I don't know what the problem is

Check your preferences. I use Aquamail and it has a "smart inbox"(I have 4 acc'ts) I assume that most of the other 3rd party have the equivalent. I was able to turn the Smart Inbox off in preferences. Did your app just update by some chance?

Assuming you're talking about Gmail. If you haven't made any changes yourself, my first thought is that you're a victim of Google's tabbed email, where mail identified by Google as being "social" (social networking) or promotional is separated out into their own tabs. It unlikely that this would result in NO mail in your in box though. Check on your desktop to see if the tabs appear there.

My second thought is that there's a filter setup in your Gmail account that's telling Gmail to skip the in box for all incoming mail. On the desktop go to Settings -> filters to check for that.
