Help Email Mailbox

Not the Gmail, but my personal email I have hooked up to the "email" application. Can I or how do I create more folders to hold the email.

I have Inbox, Drafts, Outbox, Sent, and Trash.

Nope, not yet.

It all depends if your email account supports POP or IMAP

POP will generally only give you Inbox, Sent, Drafts and Trash as it doesnt support full syncing with your server for extra folders

IMAP/Exchange servers will provide a deeper connection to your email and allow every folder set up on your computer to appear on the phone, it also will allow you to then create folders which will appear on your computer/server.

Good examples of POP email accounts are:
Shaw, Hotmail, Telusplanet etc..

IMAP:
Gmail, Exchange, Telus.net (new), yahoo

Thanks. I have the POP.

So I can't just create a folder on the phone that doesn't need to be synched? Like I read the email and have the option to delete them. I was just thinking I could create like a Misc folder for me to stick some emails in I may need later instead of the only options being to have it delete or in the inbox.

I guess anything you want to keep you have to keep in the inbox?
