Help email message body sending as double

Leob

Well-Known Member
Whenever I send an email (yahoo) from my phone, the body of the email is doubled one on top of the other. I only notice this when I look in the sent folder on the computer. When I look in the sent folder on the phone it looks normal (not doubled). I'm using yahoo mail within the samsung email app.

This is what my sent email looks like for clarification.

Hi,
This is a test.

Basically whatever I write is mirrored twice. Any ideas to fix?

So you setup your yahoo mail settings inside Samsungs built in email app yes?

Did you happen to setup your note 8 from a previous backup of another phone?

What carrier are you on? Is your phone the unlocked version or your carriers branded version?

Would you be willing to clear cache, remove and re-add thre yahoo mail servers and/or install a 3rd party email app (i use outlook) and re-test?

Do you use other email (gmail, hotmail, aol)?

So its normal on the phone end. What about the recipient? What do they see?

Did you try to look at your emails from a different computer?

Did you happen to setup your note 8 from a previous backup of another phone? NO

What carrier are you on? Is your phone the unlocked version or your carriers branded version? VERIZON WIRELESS (BOUGHT PHONE FROM VERIZON WIRELESS)

So its normal on the phone end. What about the recipient? What do they see? THE RECIPIENT SEES NORMAL. THE DUPLICATION IS ONLY IN THE SENT MAIL OF THE YAHOO MAIL ON LAPTOP COMPUTER AND SENT MAIL OF YAHOO MAIL APP ON PHONE (the sent mail on the samsung phone email app is not duplicated)
