I use Gmail for personal email (with the Gmail app), but I also have work email on my S3 (for which I use the Email application).
When I click on a Gmail notification, the Gmail app is launched and the email that I clicked on is opened. I believe this behaviour is correct - it certainly makes perfect sense to me.
However, when I click on an Email notification (not Gmail), the Email app is launched - but it does not open the email that I clicked on. Instead, it shows whatever was last open - which could be the email list or could be a completely different email. This seems wrong to me, and I find it irritating.
Has anyone else noticed this problem? Is there a fix/workaround available that I've missed?
On a related issue, I like the Smart Alert functionality for calls and texts - but why doesn't it alert of unread emails too?
Thanks,
David
