Help email question

I did a search in the forum and I didnt see this problem. Probably a newbie question but I was wondering why emails (on both gmail and my work account) arent being updated properly. Example of this is I'll read an email on my phone and when I check email on my pc appears to be unread.

Is there a setting that I dont have activated to fix this?

It takes a minute or two to show up on the pc. Actually, it depends on your sync schedule. If you have it checking every hour, it will take an hour to sync back with the server.
