Help Email Questions

Hi everyone! Glad I found this forum, hoping you guys can help me out since the Verizon people are horrible at phone or online tech support.

New to smartphones in general. But have an I pad that I am pretty proficient with.

So one problem I am having is that my G-Mail account is not sending my messages. I have 16 in the outbox from a few days ago and they are just not going through. Refresh doesn't work, and neither did clearing the data and cache. Any ideas besides a hard reset?

Other one is just that I can't find the saved mail folders on my AOL account. Are they there and I'm not finding them, or is it not an option?

Thanks in advance! I am sure I will have more questions as time goes on.

Going to keep reading and learning other cool stuff about the phone also!
 
Let's try the Gmail issue. I don't use other email clients, so I wouldn't be any help there.

Simply uninstall Gmail and then reinstall from the Market. That should do the trick. If not, come back and we will go from there.
 
I am not finding where I am able to delete the app. When I try to "remove app" it just takes me to the storage and cache info.

I must be missing something.
 
When you go to setting -> Applications -> Manage Apps -> All Apps, find the GMAIL app. When you tap that, do you see a button that says "uninstall"?
 
I don't believe you can uninstall gmail itself, but you should be able to uninstall any updates.
 
I could only uninstall the updates. Which is what I did yesterday, and then reinstalled them. It cleared my outbox, so I sent some test mail which was going through, slowly but it was going through. Today not so much, it is sticking in the outbox again.

You could do that.

Another option is to give K9 a try. I was not very impressed with the stock e-mail or the GMAIL app. K9 has never failed me.
