Help Email Retreival

Hello all. I have recently noticed that I am not automatically retrieving emails on my pre-installed email android app. I always have to open up the app and then bang there is loads of emails waiting to be read.

I went into my settings to see if there was an automatic Retreival option and it seems to not be there anymore. Can anyone help me with this?
