Help Email Settings

Hi Guys,

I use the stock email app for my ntlworld.com email address and I was just wondering if the setting on my mobile should be the same as on Outlook Express on my computer?

Phones Settings
Incoming - imap.ntlworld.com/Port 993/Security SSL/TLS
Outgoing - smtp.virginmedia.com/Port 465/Secuirty SSL/TLS

Computer Settings
Incoming - pop.ntlworld.com/Port 993/Security SSL
Outgoing - smtp.ntlworld.com/Port 25/Security None

So I now have my mobile phone settings and outlook express settings the same

Incoming - imap.ntlworld.com/Port 993/Security SSL/TLS
Outgoing - smtp.virginmedia.com/Port 465/Secuirty SSL/TLS

(I also had the incoming set to imap.virginmedia.com but the same problem that I am about to explain happened)

So now I have up at the top of my emails (highlighted in a red box on attachment) the normal folders which I like. Then down below that I have more folders and instead of the folder being called Personal Folders (I think I can change this), it's called after my email address, then we have a folder called Gmail and loads of other folders.

I do not ever use my gmail email for sending and neither do I read my gmail emails, therefore I do not want this on here.

As you can see before I started messing about with the settings, I had 1361 emails in my inbox, ranging from 2007-2013. In the new folders which have appeared there are 9000+ emails ranging between 2010-2013. I'm presuming most of these emails are emails that I have not deleted off of my phone and that is why they are appearing?!?

So my questions are, how can I have the same Port settings on outlook as in my phone, at the same time get rid of the folders underneath the red box on my attachment so that it looks like it was before?

My main email account is with sky and they use gmail for their email so whenever I set up an imap email account to them it shows all these other folders, are your providers using gmail for their email setup?
