Email setup problems

I've had my new phone only 3 days and love it but am having some problems setting up my email account. I need to start again and do it manually, but the account I want to use is installed already but not working properly. How do I go about removing it please so I can start again from the beginning?

I did it with the automatic option the first time and it isn't getting a single mail from the server but says it has the account..which it clearly hasn't.

I have an old Galaxy S Plus where mail worked fine so it's not that I'm making a complete botch of things (or maybe I am!) nor that I'm unused to Android. Also have a Samsung S2 tablet.

I've looked in Email settings and can't see how to remove the account, and also in the settings specific to the account, which it won't let me alter, so removal and a new start seems the only option.

Any help would be much appreciated

In Settings (in the phone, not in the email app), in Accounts, press the account. There should be a Remove Account button.
