email setup?

Is it possible to use the stock email client that comes on the phone to send and receive my school emails? I login on my computer through windows live and the ending to my email is @mail.mizzou.edu. I already tried to set it up on the phone once but i get error messages.

They're for the iphone but the configuration will be the same.

BTW, this was a 2 minute Google search.

I followed that guide and i get the error message "failed to connect to the exchange server".

You tapped the "Manual Setup" button on the EVO and entered the server names in the correct fields? You sure?

I clicked the mail icon
then chose Exchange ActiveSync
and followed the directions to a tee...
clicked continue....
......error messages....

What about IMAP? Can you successfully configure for IMAP instead of Exchange?

Negative, but I did get a new error message this time when setting up through exchange activesync. It reads "Your microsoft exchange server account does not have permission to synchronize with your current settings. Contact your exchange server administrator.
