Help Email sync problems - messages disappear

I have a 10+ yr old hotmail acct. Used it for years with HTC EVO..no problems with sync.

When I got the S2 ..i noticed that sometimes my inbox messages will disappear when syncing email...this happens mostly when I change my physical location.

so, when I'm around my city...usually email will be fine.. if i travel to another city..and want to sync in order to check new emails.. my inbox will be deleted and all 50 + msgs will re-download to my phone.

problem is..ive already read all those msgs and marked them as read...yet they still download as new msgs...very annoying

why is this happening? how can i stop it from deleting and re downloading msgs ive already read?

Are you using the stock Email app? If so, that's one of the "features" of that program. Ditch it and get K-9 Mail. That problem disappears.

Is samsung aware this is a bug ..can we expect a fix anytime soon?

I tried K-9..but really don't like the way emails look...they look unformatted and its hard to read them frankly...also the resizing of the emails is soo bad..

oh well..guess thats my only option for now

I would try removing the account and put it back on. Also check your data settings and make sure data roaming is on. I had that issue with my epic 4g touch and I ended up having to log on to a computer and clear out the inbox online and it has been working fine since then
