Email, texting screenshots & texting...

BSBHVR2

Newbie
I apologize for yet another thread with questions but I haven't been able to
figure these things out on my own. My phone is a Galaxy SIII.

First, my phone came with a Gmail app pre-installed and the standard email icon on my home screen. I use Gmail but the standard email icon works just fine, and that is where I specifically signed into my Gmail account. However, I guess that signed me into the Gmail app as well. Problem is, I get two alerts for the same email... and that is unnecessary. I tried uninstalling the Gmail app, but it would not allow me to do so. Any suggestions?

Second, when I take a screenshot on my phone and attach it to a text, it goes through unclear. I am using GO SMS pro for texting and when I attach a screenshot I select: attach(icon)> pictures> select a picture> apply and then send. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

Lastly, and I will explain this as best I can, I am used to iPhone and when using iPhone you can see a little bubble at the bottom of the screen with 3 dots when someone is typing a text to you. I do not see this on my new phone. Is this exclusive to iPhone or is there some setting I can adjust in order to see this?

Again I apologize for all the questions and any help is greatly appreciated!

Whichever email you want to use go into it.

By hitting the 3 vertical dots in the bottom right, or top right, you can go into Settings, from there i know in gmail you hit your email, and in there you can uncheck email notifications, im assuming you can do the same thing in the standard email app.

For number 2 what do you mean it goes through unclear?

For the last one this feature is only available on instant messengers like Facebook chat, Google+ Messenger, etc. This will not show up on regular texts

Hope this helps

Absolutely it helped, thanks!

As for unclear, when sent through Go SMS, screenshots where going through all pixelated, and barely readable. I have since figured out that this is something to do with Go SMS, so when sending screenshots I'll just use the texting service that came with the phone.

Again, thanks!
