Emailing from SG3 to iphone

I sent a few multiple pics from my Samsung to the wife's iphone and the pic shows what they come out like. What are the boxes with the blue question marks? Is this just a compatible problem?

They were sent with the stock email app. I attached them to the body of the email using the little box with text in it. (hope you know what I mean?)

They're the boxes that Apple uses in place of content they can't display. They used to do it for Flash videos but changed it at some point.

Well i did a few test pics as if I was telling someone about what the photos were about.

So i attached 1 picture then wrote test 1 above it and then attached another with test 2 wrote above it.

That's what the 2 boxes were. The photo's showed up underneath both of them
but without the text above. Can't understand why the iphone as struggled to display them properly?

Will try sending to someone at work tomorrow, not many of my friends with Android.

They look alright when I send them to myself.
