Help Emails not synching

I have a Nexus 7 - 4.2.1... just updated.

Email will not properly sync.
All accounts are either IMAP or Exchange.
Settings / Data Usage / Menu / Auto-Sync Data already checked

This is very frustrating - I have an iPad and an iPhone also... and do not see this issue with the iOS devices.

Literally... I'm sitting in front of Outlook 2010
Send multiple messages to 4 Exchange accounts, and several IMAP accounts.
All message arrive in Outlook 2010... as well as my iOS device.
Sometimes the Nexus 7 will update immediately (if Exchange) but always lag days and days behind wit IMAP.

edit: i forgot to add...

removing and recreating the email account fixes the problems.
I've done that several times - with about 5 email accounts so far (both imap and exchange).

I just sent another test message to one of the my accounts... from my iPad this time...
iPad - message arrive, iPhone - message arrived, Oyrlook 2010 - message arrived
Nexus 7... still looking at messages 4 days old...

Let me correct this (again)... the Nexus 7 literally (as I was getting ready to hit the Save button to update my post) dumped 4 days of emails onto my device.

WTH. I cannot run my business this way.

The Nexus 7 email issue I had before seems to have cleared up. Not sure why... but I'm happier.

Does anyone know of a decent email app for Android. I've downloaded tons - but most are not that good.

I'm playing around with RemoSync now. Any suggestions ?

I need Exchange 2007 and 2010 - will be dropping 2007 soon
- and also need IMAP.

I use the built in app with Exchange 2007 and it works fine. In fact I use this app on all my Android devices.

A trap for the unwary is that the e-mail won't sync if the master sync is turned off. I forget where this setting is in the Settings, but on the Power Bar widget it's the second button from the right.
