emergency calls only

help, i have changed sim card to giffgaff from vodaphone and kept my old number, but now it just say emergency calls only, what do i do?
 
I think you'll have to get a hold of giffgaff for either a new SIM card or to make sure your phone is activated on their service.

You might try to turn your phone off and on again. Enter the right code to unlock your sim card after boting. It might be protected by a code, to safeguard you for a high carrier bill when it's lost or stolen.
If the code isn't entered (right), you can only make an emergency call with it.
