Emergency.... Girlfriends about to flip her lid.

She went and downloaded a notepad style program called easy something. long story short everything in phone quit working. Phone doesnt even have signal to go to market to uninstall. Pretty much all the android setting stopped working..

Any help appreciated...

Could just be a nasty app as well.

But the 70 app limit is just as likely. Odd that I've never had any troubles with that limit, but I guess I haven't hit 70 third-party apps, except when I was using Apps2SD...
 
She has been downloading alot, but it wont connect to market to unistall or nothing. Wiped everything off screens. Do the apps go to sd card??? Can I go there and delete and maybe restart.. Right now everything is force close. Phone wont call or do anything.. All screens are wiped clean and if i try to go into anything like wireless setting it says process com.android.settings has stopped unexpectedly.

Got nothing..
 
menu>settings>applications>manage applications

no, apps are not stored on the SD card.. you shouldn't need to connect to the market in order to uninstall apps.. continue until you get below 70 apps or the phone works...
 
Thank you.. Ill try. I did find a spot to uninstall... But it really acts like something wiped the system clean.

follow this instruction.. to delete/uninstall apps on your phone.. without using "market"

She may have found the 70 app (downloaded from market) limit. which is a big bug which we hope 2.1 will fix.
 
Dont know what it is, I uninstalled least 30 apps. She had soooo much crap,and guys I think you are genius's or however you spell it. I got phone back, and made a call. But she wiped everything clean will take her days to fix it.

I really really thank you all I got a tomboy girlfriend with a temper...lol More than once see her old phone fly. I just took this one away and said lemmme try and fix it. Thank you all.. I believe its fixed...

I thought the 70 app limit was a joke!!

I have been having problems with my phone the past few days!

I had to uninstall apps to get the phone to work..

Is there a way around this?

I am running freash (So I am rooted)
 
Ahhhhh now the fun part, she got out of the shower and I said.

The guys on the internet said that the virus hit the flux capacitor causing the difibulated spiral circuit to overload and cause an internal implosion causing the main circuit board to totally fry.

She said whats that mean and I said means you downloaded too much Sh@t quit it the phones not a pc... And then I LMAO.....

Lmao - All you forgot was to tell her the Falange Valve had fallen off (Friends TV show ref.) but that may just have gotten you the old frying pan treatment.
 
Believe it or not never watched friends But I guess I didn't fully fix it. Took it to Sprint about 80 miles round trip only to see him pull battery hold down three buttons and reinstall it. Wish I would've searched hard reset first. LOL
 
we could have told you that.. if you told us. it was not fixed..

hard rest is a last ditch effort..
 
Once in a couple of days or few days, shut the phone down and pull the battery for about 10 seconds or so as desired. Then place back the battery and boot up the phone. This will help keep the phone working at a consistent rate. Sometimes phone's need to be restarted as computers do.
 
this happens to me.. I installed stupid terminal app and it runs fine.. till I finally rebooted it this morning and got alot FCs, i was like "oh boy not agan with FCs and going reflash again" But decide not to reflash and googled it little more.. found it. Just uninstall one to few apps that are recent installed, reboot and boom it works. everything same, pheww
 
Had to hard reset it again tonight. She has nowhere near seventy apps she was working and all sudden screen did something and all apps she had on her main screens was gone and personal setting would not bring them back.
