Emergency mode

For some reason my phone started sending help messages ton some of my contacts.

What a pain!

Is it easy to turn on? Generates a lot of false positiveso!

what phone do you have? emergency mode on my note 8 does not message people. it conserves power.

What is emergency mode and how do i use it?

never heard of this issue before. maybe clear out cache for contacts.....or even just rebooting the phone.

That's interesting, my S7 doesn't have this Emergency Mode, and I've never seen that feature on other phones.

A friend of mine showed me his S8 earlier this week.. and we found it whilst looking for safe mode..
(its a pretty neat idea... props to samsung)

On my S10 this is under Advanced Features/Send SOS Messages.
When turned on it will send messages to your emergency contacts if you press the power button to 3 times.

huh i just checked and yes my note 8 has that feature as well. it must be an update with Pie.

Could be, I didn't notice if it was there before the update from 8 to 9.
