Help EMPTY MXQ 4K

MXQ pro 4K

Hello
I have a MXQ pro 4K ,it was working good with a lot of channels, unfortunately I pushed a wrong button in an app called TWRP and deleted the operating system, now I have only logo on the screen,when I follow the recommended firmware update procedure to restart again it does not work, what can I do to get it running normal again or do I bin it

Can you be more specific on how the firmware update did not work? What happen when you try? Where did you get the firmware from? A guide? Do you have a link?

TWRP is a custom recovery, that doesn't usually come on Android devices from the manufacturers. Did you originally install TWRP, or was it on the box when you got it?

Basically you now need to flash the firmware that was specifically built your exact device, but as I don't know what that is or where to find it. I can't help you, or you'll be buying a new TV box, that's it.

Presumably you've already tried the various "MXQ" custom ROM procedures on XDA Devs? But the problem with the "MXQ" boxes there's various different ones, and so one ROM many not work on another variant.

Thanks for your quick reply, see 2 attachments USB BT1 is what usually happen with the many of the ROMs I`ve tried except for the HUGSON ones, I got the Firmwares from the "chinagadgetsreviews" site

I installed the TWRP app as I could not get the USB burning tool to work (see last post) I have tried 10 different ROMs to no avail
I must have clicked on a wrong button in TWRP
 
I've used TWRP for custom ROMs on rooted phones like Oppo Find7 and Samsung Galaxy S4.. And on those the ROMs were installed from a micro-SD in the device. I've never had to connect a computer with TWRP.


Thing with TWRP, it assumes you know exactly what you've doing. There's another button that says BACKUP, which makes a complete dump of whatever is currently running(nandroid), so if the firmware is erased or something else doesn't work, you can restore the working ROM.

Does the TWRP on your MXQ box have the option to install firmware from SD or TF card, that's plugged into the box?

The box is Stuck at the s905 Logo (See Attachment) In TWRP I pushed the erase system button instead of backup

That doesn't look like anything like the TWRP custom recovery I know,

Which looks like this....the INSTALL and RESTORE looks for the appropriate files on an SD card or USB storage.

Quit frankly I now think the MXQ you've got is truly bricked, and you'll be sending it for recycling....that's it.
