Lurker
Something I can't seem to get by because there's nothing I've found related to what I'm facing to find a proper solution for it, but I might as well just explain what's going on with my phone visually. Will post pics whenever I can through webcam since I can't exactly screenshot it. I'll explain why and it'll make sense when I get into that.
So, I got CyanogenMod 10, along with GT's Freedom Kernel, say, three weeks ago. Everything is working fine, all is operational, except for one flaw that's gradually turned into a bother for me.
To say it in a few words: I have to keep my brightness at the lowest percentage. Why? Because if I raise it, then for some reason, when I push my sleep button, the LCD screen lights up, but nothing displays. This has happened countless times, and has been the leading problem with my battery draining, until I found it's somehow prevented by turning the brightness all the way down.
Even more odd is that when the LCD screen is in the state of lighting up, I have to click the sleep button to wake it up, and turn it off again, but if I do it at a certain rate, it gives me a lock animation where it seems as if it's a vintage television powering off. I can say I absolutely love that animation, but I see it's a gift with a curse, not doing that unless the LCD screen lights up to bug me. I don't even know what's causing it to light up in the first place. I was thinking I could look into disabling the TV animation, as much as I liked it, but even still, the LCD screen was lighting up, most of the time while I was completely unaware and it was in my pocket heating up. Can't screenshot what it looks like because it's sleeping, and that'd just wake up the phone.
Some ideas on this would be great, and reflashing I would want to avoid. If it comes to that, then I'd rather just deal with it.
