Encrypting documents to be used on Android and PC

I would like be able to sync some documents to the cloud so I can use them on my phone and my mac. Dropbox would work perfectly, but I am open to suggestions. What I want is a text editing application that can natively open encrypted files on my phone so I can edit, save, re-encrypt and automatically send it to a cloud. Of course, I would like to be able to do the same on my computer. I run a mac, but I have windows xp as a virtual machine, so mac is preferred but windows is ok. I run PGP on my computer and have tried using one of the PGP apps on my Droid X, but i'ts a pain because you have to decrypt the file with the OpenPGP before opening the file in quickoffice or whatever you use. I really don't want to have to deal with an extra step, because I need to be able to make notes quickly. Is there anything like what I want, or am I totally dreaming? I would love something even close to what I am looking for!

I do know that newer versions of Microsoft Office (2007 onward?) have good enough security in an encrypted DOC file for the U.S. federal government (I know, I was shocked to hear that as well)! I'm too tired to find the link right now, but I'm sure you can find out more about that with a little Googling. The question at hand is, will DocumentsToGo (or another app) open those type of encrypted files on the phone? I'm not sure about that as I don't have specific experience with it. But maybe that will get you going in another (the right?) direction... Good luck!

Sorry for my delay responding. I think this will work perfectly for what I need! Thanks for the idea!
