Encryption unsuccessful not booting

I have a Prestigio Mobile Phone running Android 4-2. The phone crashed earlier and I attempted a Re-Boot but now the device wont boot and all I get is a screen saying

"Encryption unsuccessful -Encryption was interrupted and can't complete. As a result, the data on your phone is no longer accessible.
To resume using your phone, you need to perform a factory reset . When you set up your phone after the reset, you'll have an opportunity to restore any data that was backed up to your Google Account.

(and a box) Reset phone"

The reset box has no effect!

I have looked at previous posts on this topic and unlike the others I have not "romed" the device.

Hi welcome to AF. :)

A budget Chinese phone. It crashed suddenly, and now won't boot at all apart from this error. I'm willing to bet the ROM has become corrupted for some reason, and would need to be reloaded with the original manufacturer's software. Prestigio's website appears to be dead at moment, so can't find anything there. How old is the phone and do you know if it's under warranty?

Yeah it's under warranty, I've just spoke to their customer services and I've to return it their technical support, thanks for your reply.
