Exactly! Like I've said, when you think in terms of man-hours lost to BSODs, constant rebooting, frequent reinstalls of the OS, removing or preventing viruses, computers slowing down to a crawl, etc., and add those up across an entire company, I cannot understand why companies are okay with it. I wouldn't be.I don't miss the interminable updates and reboots one bit.
Every time I'm on the phone with customer service, whether it's my bank or a credit card company or whatever, and it's taking FOREVER, and the rep apologizes, "I'm sorry...the computer's really slow today," I reply, "oh, you're using windows." Yep. Why? Why is this okay?
