Enforcing Android Restrictions

Hey All,

I know this is going to be considered a taboo subject and not one that many people may be familiar with or agree with; but then again, I am just being a little paranoid, but here we go...

I am looking at buying some tablets (Android of course) that will be used 'in the field'; i.e. Shop, Manufacturing and Plant environments. The idea is to provide customers access to their web-portal on my domain while away from their primary computer.

Here is my dilema: I will be providing these devices and would like to remain in full control of them at all times. What I mean by that is, restricting the end-user's abilities such as a parental control feature.

• Restricting access to the Android Market
• Allowing access to my domain only in the web browser while restricting all other internet activity
• Removing access to 'Settings'
• Removing access to and/or hiding native applications pre-installed
• Etc.

In short, I want them to be able to access their web-portal, view documents, possibly take pictures and be able to upload/save changes in their web-portal without being able to download games, instant messengers, music, etc.

Is there an Application on the Market that is able to provide such features; or alternatively, is there way to restrict the above mentioned items natively?

I did a quick search (at lunch at the moment) and found this.

Not sure if it does exactly what you're looking for but might be worth installing a few and playing around with them and seeing if they work.

Thanks for the reply. I have installed/tested quite a few of the apps that are available on the Market; however, they all seem to be very lacking. After 20+ apps, I thought it would be wiser to ask for assistance and possibly finding someone who knows of an existing app meeting criteria. I did check your link and find two apps that may cover 90% of my needs when combined, so I will be checking those out further in the meantime.

FYI - I have no issues buying a service or application that can provide the criteria I am looking for so at this point, price is not a factor for a viable solution. I am willing to pay.
