Help Enough free space but "Insufficient space" message

I'm trying to install a game, Third Blade, which is listed as roughly 50MB. My system has 142MB free but it's giving me an "Insufficient space" message. Anyone experience a similar issue? And if so, how did you solve?

Huh... that's weird...
Maybe somehow you have it set to install to the SD card automatically? And there's not enough space on the card?

Something you can try.. Settings, Applications, Manage Applications, tap on the All tab up top and then scroll down till you find Market. Tap on it and then tap Clear Data (this will reset your Market settings).

Sometimes, but not always, doing the above step will help with the error message you are getting. If it doesn't help, I'm sure more people will toss some ideas your way.

I just installed it without any trouble, I had 72megs free internal when I installed it. I am rooted.

If your phoηε is not rooted, it is more likely that you're looking at your phoηε's RAM (Random Access Memory) rather than your phoηε's Internal Memory.

It is rooted and running a custom rom. I'm looking at my proper internal storage. Is there a way to grab .apk files directly from the market?

I'm having the same issue.81mb free, can't download a 2mb app. 111mb free on the sdcard. I've cleaned data and sdcard cache, cleared market data, wiped cache and dalvik cache from recovery.still no go.it's like the market isn't recognizing the free space.I can dl apps from other scourses. Market apps won't update, either. :(
