Help epad 1000 ET

Hi just some advice needed.
ive just got hold of a epad 1000et,the problem is it keeps freezing and apps keep stopping unexspectedly and need to force stop,i just wondered if a firmware update would help cure this and if so could someone please point me in the right direction on how to do this and where to download the firmware,as you can tell im new to all this so thanks for any help,ive looked in the settings and this is the model and firmware on it...

It's an Elonex 1000ET which is a re-labeled ZT-180 v1... so grab your favorite 2.1 or 2.2 firmware from the section for this tablet over on Slatedroid...
