Help Epic 4g Lag

I'm starting to notice some increased lag while using my Epic now. Is there any app to alleviate this? It's pretty annoying when I'm playing the labyrinth game and it starts to lag. I love this phone, but I thought it was supposed to handle graphics a little better.

I noticed this after moving to LauncherPro. Read that I needed to go back to the stock launcher temporarily and remove all of the desktop widgets that were still there. Seems they still run and take juice even when they're not visible. Now after switching back to LauncherPro the phone is nice and snappy again.

Settings, manage apps, launcher pro, clear default settings.
