Help Epic 4G not showing up in my computer

I plug my Epic 4G into my laptop with the supplied cable and do the whole USB mass storage thing and it doesn't show up in my computer. I installed the drivers from Samsung. Now, the computer is obviously seeing the phone because it installs the modem, which I can see in Device Manager. I've tried debugging mode and that doesn't work. Any ideas?

Well, first i guess that when I connect my phone I select multimedia reproductor. Second you try connect yoir phone closed when appears the android open your phone(slide) then the android put in orange color. This works for me

i've been having this problem since 2.2 went on my phone. if you find a solution i'd love to know what it is. i've tried different cables, different computers, different settings. . .nothing works.
