Epic 4G Touch vs EVO 3D vs EVO 4G vs Thunderbolt: Boot Times

Evo 4G's Cyanogen = the long boot time. Should compare stock to stock before they proclaim the Evo 4G a turd next to 1+ year newer phones.

My Evo 4G (Custom ROM based on Evo 3D's ROM) booted in parity with the Evo 3D - nearly exactly.

The Epic 4G Touch is pretty impressive!

Interesting video but uh yeah my thoughts are just like everyone else.
1. Do Stock vs. Stock vs. Stock vs. Stock
2. Get someone to do all four at the same time instead of one here and one there or do it by timer. I see that the Samsung was pretty impressive though.

And yeah, unless my phone has been straight tripping all day, cold reboots don't occur often except maybe twice a month.

Evo 4G's do have a long opening and I do often wonder why but yeah it is safe to consider it the beginning of the next gen phones so it's not going too be nearly as powerful as the rest especially the Samsung that just came out.

To test speed, they should all open apps at the same time, run them the same way and see which does the best.

Ya but some of us do reboot often. I have 8 batteries, 4 desk chargers, and no cord charger at all anymore. I change batteries two or three times a day, sometimes more. Those long boots can be annoying at certain times, but I just look at it as a necessary evil. I mean, we ARE carrying around a $600, 1gHz computer in our pockets, that just happen to make VOIP calls, and have a phone company's logo on them. The batteries wont last weeks, and it doesn't boot instantly. But I can get my computer online, surf the web, look at porn, facebook, and email, at the same time, at 70mph on the highway. I can live with it I guess. ;-)
