Help Epic Not reading Sd card

I just baught my wife and Epic 4g touch yesterday. I noticed before I rooted it it would not load from the sd card. I could use a file explorer to access my sd card, but when i need to access it by cpu i cant see it. I rooted it and still nothing. I try to load my apps and it does not see them on the sd card. Neither when I try to restore messages and other things from my sd card. I really need help getting this to work and I did not know if anyonw else was having these issues. I am used to flashing my Evo and this samsung is a little different. Thanks ahead of time

i was having the same problem with mine when i got it a few days ago (except my phone wasn't and still isn't rooted but it hopefully won't make a difference). anyways go into your apps drawer and locate the My Files app/icon. in there locate the file that says external_sd and move whatever files u need from there (long tap it and a menu will pop up giving you the option to move it) and move it to your sdcard area. at the top in white you'll see when you go into your external_sd that the location will say /sdcard/external_sd and you want to move whatever files you want or need just to the /sdcard area. hope that helps. thats what i had to do

Thanks. I have used that as a temporary fix until I figure out what the heck is going on with the sd card. Thank again
