Epic’s back at it again reiterating that they won’t be focusing on Android for the time being. This is sad, I think it has been proven time and time again that you can dev for android and target a certian chipset OS version and it will be fine. If a dev can make a quality game they can also have it do a check on the first run to verify it will run on the device, and alert the user to refund if it will not. The great thing about a refund policy if the app won't run the end user is not out the money if the dev can incorporate a verification system for first run. I'm glad there are other devs out there that are not scared away and work with android as it is a viable platform.

Riiighhhtt....heard this crap before. Epic can talk all they want, but when Android's saturation grows too much to neglect they'll be making games with the excuse that Android's development process wasn't as bad as they thought.

From the article:
Even if targeting high-end devices with the latest in chipset technology, Sweeney points the finger at carrier and OEM customization as reasons why a game might be better on one phone as opposed to another with similar specs.

So is he saying the inconsistency is more the fault of carriers and OEM bloat ware, UI skins?

They are known sell outs, they did it with Microsoft(Xbox 360) and it's no supprise they will do it with Apple.

They will change their tune eventually.
