Hey all,
I have not had this issue until today. My Epic was on silent (NOT vibrate) mode, and it never lit up or or anything. As soon as I pressed the power button to light the screen and then unlock several emails, push notifications (K9, whatsapp and Friendcaster) all popped up at once. It was as if the data had shut off until the moment that I woke the screen up.
I am not on wireless - I am using 3G and the 3g signal is strong. Also, SMS messages come across properly - this is what leads me to believe it is some sort of data sleeping mode.
I haven't tried this on 'normal' mode (as opposed to silent mode) since I noticed the problem, but I was just curious.
The main reason that I know it was acting up, because with Whatsapp, I get the notifications instantly. However, with this issue, the time stamp of the message was from twenty minutes prior even though the notification just popped up (when I 'woke' the screen up).
Thanks a TON in advance,
Matt!
