This ROM is for the DROID2 not the DROID1.

Changelog:
Decent amount of blur removed.
Black notification bar(Thanks for helping me Webst3r)
Stock applications.
Bug fixes.

What's Included:

How to install:Important!
You will need to download Koush's bootstrap application and bootstrap your recovery. Then you can boot into recovery via the same app or you can install via ROM Manager(by rebooting into recovery, not via install rom from sdcard). Once you boot into recovery do a FULL nandroid backup and then you go to mounts and storage and mount /system manually to avoid more issues. Install zip from sdcard and toggle signature verification to disable. Now you can install the zip from the sdcard. Once this is done, reboot.

The keyboard backlight does not work. I liked it, but I will wait for some updates. I registered just to let you know I tried it.

That's odd. The backlight works fine for me. It can not be a bug with the rom. Try to wipe your data, that will most likely fix any problems :)
 
Okay, I wiped my data and am re-installing 2.0. If this doesn't work I will stick with your 1.1. You're work is amazing. But if my phone is being silly, I will stick with what works.
 
I did get the error, "The application com.google.android.onetimeinitializer has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Is that normal? I understand the error, but is there an easy fix?

Just force close it. It relaunches and then your good. Happened to me once, isn't a big deal.

Can you add some detail to your change log? Particularly what "Stock Applications" means?

Main reason I ask, is I like the Droid2 Exchange Email client, and wanted to make sure that's included in your ROM, not the standard 2.2 Email client. What exactly does "Stock Applications" mean - stock for D2?

It is the stock applications that would come on a DROID1, not themed my Motorola. I think the stock Exchange email is included but if you are on IRC I can PM you a download link to the Motoblur email if you prefer :)
 
just downloaded and it looks amazing!! only thing i find annoying is that in the status bar all the black text is still black (ex, the date and notification text) anyway to fix that?
 
I assume you mean in the pull-down...Matt's screen shots show white on black for the status bar itself...

Yup - that would need to be fixed. :)
 
Haven't loaded the ROM yet, as I'm waiting until I can confirm the steps to get to ClockWork Recovery from power up, in case I get stuck in a boot loop at some point. Not worried about that w/this ROM, per se, but generally want all my recovery options available as I am going to load Matt's ROM w/a few changes of my own. :)
 
He received a notice to remove swype or legal action would be taken.

Is there any way to revert back to the old conversation style while texting? I also notice that it doesn't draw the pictures from facebook for the people I'm texting. I just installed it yesterday so i'll keep you updated on what I think about it.

As far as swype how does that work if we're registered w/ the swype beta?
 
yes, sd card root directory...and as rough as it is knowing matt likes the patriots(gagging), i like his roms and wont hold the patriots(explosively vomiting) thing against him
 
Anyone tried this method to get swype to work?

"Instructions:
Download the Droid 2 system dump here Droid2SystemDump.zip
Under /Apps find Swype.apk and copy it to your sd-card

Open terminal emulator

su
mount -o rw,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
rm /system/app/Swype.apk
reboot

After reboot verify its gone.
Reopen Terminal Emulator

su
mount -o rw,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
cp /sdcard/Swype.apk /system/app
exit
exit

Open a text box and verify."

I can't try it since my Terminal Emulator won't open, does everyone have that issue?
