Epocrates connection error

Got a Sprint EVO the other day. Did the Gingerbread update first off. Then tried to install Epocrates. Can not get past the login in screen. Get "connection error". Friend has same phone. He had Epocrates before the gingerbread update and it still works after the update. Epocrates support does not have a fix. They gave me a refund.

Seen others on the net with this problem. Any suggestions or fixes?

Can someone with gingerbread without epocrates install it from the market and see if you can get past the new user screen? That would confirm that it does not support the lastest update.
