Help equalizer.. does sgs2 have one?

Hey guys just wondering how you can access any equalizer settings on sgs2? My old DHD had a bunch of stuff, 5 different modes and srs wow effects, etc... Could get a whole heap of bass out of it, this thing all I can find is the 5.1 option but I figure I must be missing something.

Also is there any way to move (or enlarge) the track control buttons that pop up when the phone is locked but awake? The current ones are too small.

If not then does anyone know where I can get the music player sense comes loaded with? I've tried a few on the market and none were as good as that.

Cheers

Yep. in the music player press the menu button bottom left and then settings. In there is the EQwith some set options and a user option.

You can find other music player apps in market which have various playback features. one is called Sound Best Player which is quite good as it tests your hearing for the best eq setting fir your ears.

Ahh ok, didn't even think to look in settings, just assumed if it had one it'd be a bit more accessible... thanks for the info

Anyone else notice that the bass enhancement doesn't make any difference (except for add more distortion)? my settings are set to rock... Have some really nice sennheiser buds that used to go off on my old phone (bass was deafening), might try a new music app. Bass is also distorting a whole heap, which is irritating because these have excellent clarity.

Anyone know one that has a large interface on the standby screen and also has srs effects etc, to enhance bass?

Also, does anyone know whether this is just an issue (i.e. build quality) with the sound processor or something? If this is the case I might buy a dedicated MP3 player, this thing sounds horrible, old n95 used to sound better. What I'm basically asking is whether like a firmware update could help?

Cheers

Was just looking at the XDA forums and yeh seems pretty hopeless.. Poweramp works well, am testing it atm and will probably buy it, it does a much better job of amplifying bass, sounds still not really clear but at least I have some bass now without distortion.

It also has a much, much better lock screen interface (where it sort of replaces the standard slide screen entirely) the only problem with this new one is that you need to lock the phone whilst in the player... But that's not a big problem and could probably be overcome by disabling the lock screen altogether.

Have you tried Sound Best Player for audio quality?

The S2 Has a Yamaha DAC that some say isn't as good as the older DAC in the S.
Surprising really as Yamaha make some excellent AV and HiFi equipment.
However I have seen test results and its OK- not great but OK and much better on line out. This might be the headphone amplifier more than the DAC.

Another disappointment on this phone I'm afraid!

I actually steered away from that just because of the name, haha. Sounded like a chinese copy or something. Super happy best fun sound maximum.... you get the idea. Had heard it was good though.

as for the disappointments...I'm just spewing I bought the phone on a plan and not outright, stuck with this thing for 24 months :D oh well
