Root erase system not allowed

Hi,
i'm in total S off
i try from fastboot erase system, but does not give me the permissions
If I try with the erase cache okay.
other fastboot commands respond properly.
What could be causing this?
I have to Flash a new rom, and doing the full wipe by recovery there are always problems.
any advice?
I also tried fastboot commander. same thing.
it's possible that i must be in eng hboot to erase system?

p.s. the real problem is how to format all partitions not from recovery but from fastboot.
is there a way?

i venture to guess that your troubles are from something else. you should not need to erase system prior to rom flashes. all you need to do is:
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache
-wipe dalvik cache

if you wish to erase system prior to new flashes, there is an option in recovery to "format system" wich will erase it :)

to answer your last question, you cannot erase system from fastboot with a normal ship hboot.

what's the way to have eng hboot?
have you the file PD98IMG for flash eng hboot ?

Some people have told me that it is better to format from the fastboot for erase some crash of cutom roms.
If I format from recovery is like when I format the sd quickly. or not?

i dont feel its a good idea for you to install an eng hboot. there are alot of extra commands and it allows read and write to partitions that can drastically damage parts of your phone(read:brick) if you dont know what youre doing. i am a pretty advanced user and i have no need for an eng hboot 99% of the time. all the conviences offered by the eng hboot(like fastboot erase system) all have other methods to skin the cat ;)

the people who have told you its better to use fastboot are wrong. format /system in recovery is just fine. even that is uneccessary in most cases,as the rom is scripted to do this for you when you flash it. its only a few roms that will not have this built in,and could cause prollems.

wipe data/factory reset is the most important wipe.

if youre having particular issues with particular roms, its best to research that roms development thread. in the events that the dev recomends that you wipe system, formatting it with recovery is just fine, and works just as well as fastboot erase system :)

sounds good. i try and browse the forums daily, but sometimes real life gets in the way when i work 50+ hours a week  if you need me just start a thread in the forum and ill get to it as soon as i can :)

this is the answer from a developer or technical help:

this is the link of rom: [ROM][SENSE 4.1+4.5][ANDROID 4.0.4] [ROM][SENSE 4] SP13final-ITA - Forum Android Italiano
and this is the comment: http://www.androidiani.com/forum/modding-htc-desirehd/259784-rom-sense-4-1-4-5-android-4-0-4-rom-sense-4-sp13final-ita-394.html
thread 3934

translate:

" I understand your displeasure but the problem is not the rom, the sp18 doesn't have the problems you describe you. In the forum there are many users with virtually all operators and nobody has problems with the sim.
I think that your phone is not unlocked correctly because if you can't do the erase of the system it is likely that the bootloader you access blocks.
In this case, you cannot install the sp properly, I think it's the kernel that you do not install.
Try to unlock again following the Androidiani guides "

it could be possible that the phone is not unlocked, but the erase system does not have anything to do with it. as i described above, that is simply a limitation of your stock hboot.

you are s-off,wich means recovery is installing kernels just fine,if it were not,the rom wouldnt boot.

as i said on your other thread, you can restore a stock backup, and try your other sims there. if they work, then the prollem is not the simlock, but something else.

if they do not work, then sounds like the sim has become relocked
