the latest high-end phones from Samsung (Galaxy S4), Motorola (Verizon Droid Ultra) and the LG Nexus 5 (for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile) have better screens, are faster, and have a much more intuitive interface. They are a great Christmas present to an iPhone user!

I bet the likes of HTC, Lenovo and Sony, to name but three founding members of the OHA, are real chuffed with that.

"This guy" is Google's executive chariman, so of course he's going to advocate their product. You wouldn't expect Tim Cook to promote Windows Phone, would you?

The "truth" is that no such thing is stated. The only mention of "safer" is right at the end of his post as a P.P.S and does not refer to Android or iOS at all:
