Error 497

When trying to update Youtube, It gives me error 497 message. What do I do to update this app so I can watch videos?? Phone model Samsung SCH-S720C carrier - Verizon
 
From everything I see, it's one of those "it's definitely this", "not it's definitely that" kind of thing.

Remove your gmail account. Add a new one - same login, same password. Try again.

If that doesn't help you may have to use up some of your data and download through your phone's data account.
