error 504?

after installing updates on my android 3g version 2,3,7 t-mobile i get error code 504 when trying to get on internet and installing other updates
 
That's a gateway timeout. The gateway is the "thing" that goes between the phone system and the internet. It could be that your carrier is having problems (it's their gateway), but it's more likely that your APN values are incorrect. You'll have to get the correct ones from your carrier and check them against your phone (or bring it in and ask them to check them).
